Boat Ramps

• Lake James near Hidden Cove
     Head east on US-70 from downtown Marion to NC-126 (about 5 miles). Turn left and drive through Nebo  and take exit 90. Drive north into Nebo and continue through town on NC-126 to the ramp (approximately 1/2 mile south of the Catawba Spill way).
     There is another ramp on the north side of Lake James (this is in Burke County). Continue on NC-126, across the lake to the Linville River Bridge. Continue one more mile from the bridge (when you see the lake again coming around the bend, you're there.)

Marinas

• Lake James Properties, LLC, was granted a lease by Duke Power in January of 2005 to build a 110 slip marina. Our information, however, indicates that this is to be a private marina for the benefit of the residents of 'The Arbor', a Lake James subdivision.
