Franklin,
the largest town west of US-276 (Waynesville-Brevard), is
the economic center of the far-western counties. Sited at
the crossroads of US-64 and US-23/441, it also enjoys the
recreational advantage of the confluence of the Cullasaja
River and Little Tennessee River. Waterfront real estate

Highlands

Like
Cashiers in Jackson County (next door), Highlands not only
has rugged mountain beauty, they also have Lake Sequoyah
(effectively the head water of the Cullasaja River, plus a
half-dozen or so smaller lakes all acting as magnets for the
thousands of summertime residents and visitors. Real estate
